This CATAN expansion is entirely dedicated to exploration!
Sent out by the Council of Catan, you set out for uncharted areas to build new outposts. The sketchy information available indicates that dangerous pirate lairs, rich fishing grounds, and helpful indigenous villages await you beyond the horizon.
To set up the game, you need the game components from the CATAN base game as well as new frame pieces and hexes from the expansion. This provides you with quite large a game board, allowing you to go on exciting journeys of exploration and discover new land.
The new Explorers & Pirates expansion is based on the CATAN base game rules but also contains a number of new game mechanisms. For example, ships are now equipped for expeditions and can be moved freely across the board. In the ships you transport settlers, crews, fish, or spices across the seas. Your goal is to build new outposts on the islands that are still undiscovered and to complete the Council of Catan's missions in the most skillful way possible.
Your missions are varied. First, you must prevail against pirates who terrorize the coasts of Catan. Equip your ships with crews and search for the pirates' lairs. The Council of Catan rewards the bravest fighters with fame and gold.
On your way, you will encounter rich shoals of fish just waiting to be hauled aboard your ship. If you bring the fish back to the home island, the Council of Catan rewards you.
Finally, you will encounter peaceful and helpful villagers who trade valuable spices to you. The Council of Catan will be delighted yet again when you deliver spices to their stronghold. You also benefit from the villagers' extensive knowledge and will learn how to sail faster across the seas or how to better fight the pirate ships.
Sound like a lot of content? Right – the expansion is definitely filled to the brim with content. You don't have to worry, though, because the Explorers & Pirates expansion has a modular concept. In scenario 1, the introductory game, you are familiarized with the basic rules; then, piece by piece, you play the other scenarios containing the previously described missions. Afterwards, you can take your pick which scenario(s) you would most like to play.
After you have played the first four scenarios, in scenario 5 – which bears the name of the expansion – you can complete all 3 previously described missions at the same time. Here, on the largest possible game board, you play until one of the players reaches 17 victory points. Playing this scenario for skilled CATAN fans can easily turn the whole evening into an exciting experience.

Return and Order Cancellation Surcharge
For any return or order cancellation (including pre-order), we charge a 10% restock fee. The return shipping is also at the expense of the customer.
Returns are only permitted for board games, puzzles, and supplies, They are not permitted for any trading card or collectible item. We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. These set of rules and instructions applies to receiving your order via shipping, delivery, or pick-up.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Return label is not provided and must be purchased at returner's expense.

What we do not define as damaged:
We have these definitions for damages because no supplier would even consider refunding or discounting us if we received products with blemishes. In truth, most products outside an initial launch are likely to be shipped with different products within the same shipping box - a shipping term known as re-packing. Consequently, it is unrealistic to have a product's packaging to be flawless.
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. For defective products we will work between you and the manufacturer. For damages caused by shipping, we will work with you and the carrier.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Returns are not permitted for any trading cards.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Exchanges are not permitted for trading cards.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Please allow for up to 14 days for refund to be completely processed after we've received your returned items. In some rare instances, this may take a little bit longer. In such a case, we will work with you to figure out what's wrong. Please contact email@example.com should this happen.
Special Requests and Product Questions
Any special requests for shipping or special requests on items items must be made and confirmed with staff BEFORE purchase. Un-confirmed requests may not be honoured. If refund option is available for these items, it will be at customer's expense for shipping plus 10% restock fee. Again, some items are not allowed to be returned under our policy. This is likewise for general questions about products. The onus is on the customer to make sure their question about an item is answered BEFORE purchase. Missing Parcels after Delivery Confirmation
If any parcels or packages are missing after delivery confirmation by courier, we will insure up to $100 dollars of your invoice if courier cannot find the parcel(s) after a ticket with them is made.
